What functions
does DTTools Perform? DTTools allows the user to
quickly import any comma delimited text file, such as process
data captured using DataTrap 3000, in spreadsheet format. The
user may view statistics on individual data sets and/or export the
data to a text file for import into a loop tuning package such as
ENTECH.
Familiar
Windows Interface -
DTTools uses the familiar Windows
architecture and environment, users can quickly begin using DTTools
to make informed decisions based on the valuable process data that
has been captured.
DTTools is Flexible -
The user is not limited to data captured with DataTrap 3000. DTTools
allows the user to import any comma delimited text file in spreadsheet
format. Data captured using Datatrap 3000 (with or without ENTECH
Headers) or plain text
files with process data contained in them may be imported. DTTools
handles the determination of the type of data imported seamlessly,
allowing the user to simply select the data set from the spreadsheet.
DTTools
Array of Calculations - Included in DTTools suite of functions
are calculations (some statistical) that may be performed on individual
data sets. Calculated data provided to the user includes:
Number of Samples
|
Lower and Upper Fences
|
Minimum
|
Lower and Upper Control Limits
|
Maximum
|
Control Performance Index (CPI)
|
Standard Deviation
|
|
The calculated values are displayed in a custom
form for the user to view.
Other
Features - Also included on the custom form are some
other functions that the user may find useful after calculating
statistics on the selected data set. The user has the option of
printing the form with the calculated values, copying the calculated
data t another worksheet via the "Copy Stats" command
button, or "Trim Outliers" which deletes all data outside
of the Lower and Upper Fence values. This function allows for better
data clarity, an absolute necessity for process loop tuning. If
"Trim Outliers" is selected, the necessary data is deleted
and the Calculate Statistics form is redisplayed with the updated
calculations.
